Are you willing to renounce your current citizenship(s) to become an Estonian citizen?

This is the most important question for Estonian citizenship. Estonia does not recognize dual citizenship, with very narrow exceptions that do not apply to most descent applicants. To receive an Estonian passport, you would need to formally give up your existing citizenship(s). This is a significant and irreversible decision. If you are unwilling to do this, Estonian citizenship by descent is not a viable path for you.
