Did you formally submit a citizenship application at an Italian consulate before March 27, 2025?

Italy's Law 74 changed the rules on March 27, 2025. Applications formally filed before that date are processed under the old rules (any generation). Applications filed on or after that date face a grandparent maximum. "Formally filed" means your packet was submitted and received a protocol number — a scheduled appointment alone does not count.
